Just this past Friday I celebrated the sale of my first non-commissioned painting. I woke up this morning to see that this pelican is also going to be flying out to his new home in Maine this week. :-)

These two sales meant a lot to me. I love making art, but it can be really discouraging to see your paintings start collecting dust. It is so nice to feel appreciated and supported.

Thanks for everyone who has encouraged me with my artwork!

A few months back I shared my picture of this little guy and the free pattern he was based on.

I'm happy to report he's now flying (quite literally) off to a new home in Colorado!

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mommy readers out there! I hope you have a wonderful and RELAXING day. :-)

We ended up celebrating with a day trip to Eski Foca. I won't inundate you with my pictures, but thought it would be fun to share a little bit of my world with you all.

It's May, and Halloween is still months away, but the curse of being a designer seems to be that you have to plan at least 2 seasons/holidays in advance.

So this weekend I decided to get started.

I'll be honest, I'm kind of partial to the Frankenstein hat, and I'm not entirely sure why. Maybe it was just more fun and challenging to make. ;-)

But I also came up with several different sizes for the witch hat, which makes me happy. Now fur babies of all sizes can dress up for Halloween.
